To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. When I connect my phone via USB, Apple Carplay connects and starts up on the infotainment system, and runs great in that respect, but one thing I have noticed is there is nowhere to now adjust the settings of carplay e.

I cannot adjust the brightness or contrast. It’s fine in the daytime, but when it’s nighttime the brightness of the screen while using maps is ridiculous, or any light colours on the screen such as receiving a message.

It’s that bright, that if i glance at the screen to check my route, my eyes are partially dazed by the brightness and it’s incredibly difficult to see the road while my eyes readjust. Even if I don’t look at the screen, it’s that bright it catches the corner of my vision quite easily. I’ve gone into Carplay on my iphone and all it shows is what apps I can use and to allow carplay while locked.

There is nothing to adjust brightness. I’ve tried this with and without my iPhone connected in my car. I’ve also tried inverting the colours on my iPhone, dimming the brightness on my screen, and even a trick using the zoom feature and applying a filter which enables me to dim my phone screen even more, but none of that affects what is displayed on the cars infotainment display. By the looks of it this is a Carplay issue not an issue with my infotainment system.

Any help would be great or if there is nothing to do then can we get this suggested to apple to be in an update? As this is actually quite dangerous. Posted on Feb 15, AM. With my Sonata Sport 2. I have tried to fix this my resetting the connection, disengaging the usb lightening plug and reinserting it and that works sometimes, but not always. It’s frustrating and no one at the Genius Bar could help and my Sonata user manuals do not address the issue of changing the screen brightness.
