Hi so, when i start up my computer the display is stuck zoomed in. However, now even if I restart it many times the display is remaining zoomed in. Consider, I have tried zooming in and out once on the desktop but this does not fix anything as this is not the problem. The display is zoomed in from the very first screen that is displayed, the HP sceen for context.

I have also tried the following, going through display adapters and uninstalling device. But this did not work for me. Also I have tried leaving the pc turned off for periods of time before starting it up again, as well as unplugging it and switching it off at the socket before starting up but once again this did not work.

I should also mention that this started happening after the pc was left on for awhile or when the power cut out unexpecantly a few times, not sure if this is a contributing factor. Also the pc is new as of december Was this reply helpful?

Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Plus, the problem of the zoomed in display is there as soon as my pc starts up before i even reach the log in screen. Ive tried this also but it doesnt fix the display. Also, the opening screen on the monitor before it is even connected to the turned on pc is normal and not zoomed in. Its a Lenovo monitor, right now it is only connected to the pc by one cable there arent any others I could switch out to.

You can even use a TV display. I cant right now, but i will try this. This site in other languages x.

Windows Magnifier is broken down into three modes: Full-screen mode, Lens mode and Docked mode. If the Magnifier is set to Full-screen mode, the entire screen is magnified. Your operating system is most likely using this mode if the desktop is zoomed in.

If you don’t want to use Windows Magnifier, pressing the “Windows” and “Esc” keys together automatically disables it. If you navigate to the “Ease of Access” center in the Windows Settings app, you can customize the magnifier and change options such as the zoom level, lens size and zoom increment. Screen resolution refers to pixels, which are thousands of dots that make up what is displayed on your monitor’s screen. In general, the higher the resolution, the clearer and sharper the images and text appear on the screen.

Resolution varies with different monitors. The larger the monitor, the higher the resolution. Setting the resolution level on your computer lower than the maximum resolution supported by the monitor usually displays larger icons on the desktop.

A low resolution enlarges the images. However, pictures and text aren’t as clear as they would be if the resolution level was set to match the recommended setting on the monitor.

Microsoft says that adjusting your screen’s resolution using the “Display” settings in the Windows Settings app improves display quality.

Windows provides options to enlarge the icon views on the desktop. If the icons on the desktop look larger, they view is currently set to “Large Icons. If you want to reduce the size of the icons, right-clicking the desktop and selecting “View” displays the icon sizes.
